In Memoriam

In memoriam – remembering a relative, friend or much loved pet…

Many people choose to remember a loved one by making a donation to their favourite charity, instead of sending flowers to a funeral. A donation made in this way is a fitting tribute to remember that special person or pet, whilst at the same time helping others.

At Island Farm Donkey Sanctuary our administrative costs are kept to a minimum, to ensure that as much of your donation as possible is spent on the continued care and well being of our lovely donkeys.

There are several ways in which you can donate in memory of a loved one and they are:

  1. Make a donation You can make a donation, either by direct bank transfer, cash or enclosing a cheque via the post made payable to ‘Island Farm Donkey Sanctuary’ and sending it to the address above. Click here to make a donation online.

  2. Memorial plaque – At Island Farm Donkey Sanctuary we have a memorial wall where for a minimum donation of £100, you can have a plaque placed on our wall to remember a relative, friend or much loved pet.  Please click here to download an application form: Memorial Plaque Application Form
Alternatively you can e-mail us at mail@donkeyrescue.org.uk with your request or contact us by telephone on 01491 833938.
  3. Leaving a bequest or legacy – Leaving a bequest or legacy to Island Farm Donkey Sanctuary will help us greatly in continuing our work in rescuing and treating abused and neglected donkeys, which requires considerable funding. Please contact us if you require further information about this.

At the moment we are caring for over 100 donkeys, which costs about £10,000 per month.  We receive no outside funding. All the money comes from constant fund raising by our wonderful volunteers and donations to the donkey sanctuary.

You can further assist us if you tell us if you are a tax payer, to enable us to claim back money from the taxman via Gift Aid.

If you want any further information about any of our ‘In memoriam’ options or would like to discuss this with us, please contact us either via our website, e-mail or office telephone number.
